Acting Lab is a six-week online workshop for Jewish teen girls, grades 9-12, who want to explore the craft of acting, experiment with different techniques, build confidence, and have fun.

 

Real acting. Small group. No pressure.

 

Explore character, improv, scene work, voice, movement, and the creative choices that bring a character to life — with an experienced theatre artist who knows how to help young actors grow.

 

We'll create a focused, supportive space to experiment, take creative risks, develop real acting skills, and connect with other Jewish girls who love theatre.

About the Instructor

Robyn Shrater Seemann is a theatre artist, teaching artist, performer, playwright, and founder and Producing Artistic Director of Artists Circle. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Brandeis University and has worked as a theatre artist and arts professional for more than 20 years.

 

Robyn has taught acting, improv, storytelling, and performing arts to children, teens, and adults in a variety of Jewish educational and arts settings, including Camp Tizmoret Shoshana, ATARA – Association of Torah and the Arts, and Jewish Women in Arts and Movement (JWAM).

 

As a performer and playwright, Robyn has presented her work at venues including Olney Theatre Center, Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts, and the Capital Jewish Museum. Her plays have been produced by Adventure Theatre and the Baltimore Playwrights Festival.

 

Robyn believes the best acting classes are places where you can play, experiment, make bold choices, and occasionally surprise yourself.
