PAST PRODUCTIONS

SHOWCASE 2024

We laughed, we cried, we danced in our chairs with a SOLD OUT crowd! We celebrated our fifth year of Artists Circle performances with our signature variety of song, dance, story, and laughter - and even some thrilling yo-yo! So much inspiring performing arts, we heard one audience member declare her face hurt from smiling so much.

ARTISTS CIRCLE FOR ISRAEL

Our artists connected with those around the globe in this free, online show to bring positivity to the world.  We provided a much needed break from constantly checking your phone for updates and getting overloaded with news. Audiences enjoyed the song, dance, story, and laughter that we've all come to know and love. We were honored to use our artistry to uplift people from all over.

SHOWCASE 2023

We returned to the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre to ring in the new year with inspiring performances from sixteen artists, new and returning. We had many firsts this year: first time including a tap dance number, first time hosting a school group in the audience, first time performing with piano AND drums in the finale, and first time someone played a goat on our stage (thank you sketch comedy). Our artists brought joy and built community in the special way that our audiences have come to appreciate from Artists Circle.

SHOWCASE 2022

We were so excited to kick off 2022 by bringing live performance back! Our protocols allowed us allowed us to put on the show in a safe way, and allowed us to continue our mission of supporting women in the performing arts, while providing the community with high level performance. The audience at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre delighted in fabulous performances from fifteen artists, both who have been with us in the past and joining us for the first time–and we had an incredible all-women production team and tech crew! We even had some cute babies backstage - because supporting women artists includes supporting them as mothers.   We sang, we danced, we laughed, we had a fabulous evening.

VIRTUAL SHOWCASE

We didn't let the pandemic stop us. Positive energy and togetherness was needed more than ever. So, in December 2020 we took the Showcase online! Thirteen amazing singers, dancers, comedians, and musicians used the power of Zoom to delight audiences in their own living rooms. We streamed the show live to 93 households across the globe. An evening of uplifting performance AND you could stay in your jammies! Nothing beats that!

OUR INAUGURAL SHOWCASE

November 3, 2019, we opened with our inaugural all-women performing arts production: Artists Circle Showcase, performed at the historic Carl Freeman Auditorium in Olney, MD. That's right, our cast, crew - and even the  audience! - were all women.  Our 18 performers were able to share their art with over 120 audience members. Our performers thrilled to be on stage sharing their talent, and audience members delighted to attend a professional level production that was all women. All who attended had a night to remember filled with singing, dancing, comedy, storytelling, and music.

OUR VISION

WE'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS

Women artists deserve to be valued.

Artists Circle brings together the community to uplift women artists by creating opportunities to share their art and maintain their religious beliefs.

ABOUT ARTISTS CIRCLE

OUR STORY

Imagine allowing women to embrace both their art and their beliefs. Imagine women and girls seeing people like themselves represented on stage.

I trained and worked in professional theatre, which allowed for my passion to bring beauty, laughter, and inspiration to the world. Growing as an artist, I also grew in my  connection to my roots and values.  After years of thinking I had to choose between artistic expression and beliefs, I realized the two could more than coexist, but actually enhance each other. They just needed a venue to do so. Along the way, I met many talented, like-minded women and performers who felt the same way.

So, Artists Circle was born. To value women artists. To create opportunity. To strengthen and uplift our community.

THE INSIDE SCOOP

WHAT OUR ARTISTS ARE SAYING

"Performing for Artists Circle was a dream becoming a reality.  I love performing and sharing my art, inspiring others.  With so few options available to perform in front of all female audiences, this performance truly gave me something so tremendously special."

-Michelle

"Artists Circle is a bonder, and it allowed me to be who I am and inspire others with my music. I feel incredibly grateful for such a magical experience and will never forget it. "

-Rachel

" A huge thank you to Robyn and her team for putting such an incredible showcase together. What a gift you have given the Jewish women of the DMV communities-an opportunity to be on the stage in such a professional way.

While I sing all the time for events, kumsitzes, open mic, this was a different level-on stage, in a professional setting, alongside such amazing talented women. I challenged myself, went out of my comfort zone, and lifted my soul, closer to its purpose. And what a model for my daughters to see that it’s our duty to recognize our Gd given talents and share them with each other to strengthen and inspire."

-Dahlia

"Having a strong passion for music, but still in the very early stages of my career, I benefited immensely from performing with Artists Circle. They were very nice, organized and professional. I was encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone and perform with live accompaniment, as well as to interact more on stage with limited time to rehearse. The sound was beautiful and performance aspect was great, as well! I am very grateful to them for this opportunity. Very professional."

-Chemdi

"It was so fun to sing and laugh in a community of other musicians, storytellers and comedians. Robyn curated a fabulous show full of talented people. Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity for all of us."
